Some fences reach a point where patching just doesn't cut it anymore. The old fence here was dark, weathered, and clearly past its prime - boards separating, the whole structure looking worn down and rough. That's when full replacement makes more sense than a quick fix.

We tore out the old fence and gate and started fresh. New cedar pickets, new steel posts set solid in the ground. Cedar is one of our go-to materials for wood fence installations because it holds up well over time, resists rot naturally, and looks great from day one.

The steel posts are a big deal here. A lot of wood fences fail at the base because the posts rot out. Using steel posts eliminates that weak point entirely, so the fence stays plumb and sturdy long after an all-wood setup would start leaning.

The gate was also completely rebuilt as part of the installation. A solid gate that opens and closes the way it should makes a real difference in day-to-day use - and in how the whole fence line looks from the street.

What you end up with is a fence that actually does its job. It gives you privacy, it looks clean and well-built, and it's not something you'll have to think about again anytime soon. That's exactly what a good fence replacement should deliver.
