Here's a before-and-after that says it all. The original fence had clearly seen better days - weathered, worn, and losing the fight against time and the elements. When a fence gets to that point, patching it isn't really a solution. A full replacement is the only move that makes sense.

We pulled the old structure out completely and started fresh. Steel posts went in first - that's the backbone of the whole build. A lot of fence installs skip this step and go wood post to wood post, but steel is a different level of strength. It doesn't rot. It doesn't shift. It holds the line for years longer than a standard wood post ever would.

From there, we built out the cedar pickets. Cedar is one of the best wood choices for fencing - it's naturally resistant to moisture and insects, it takes stain and sealant well, and it looks great right out of the gate. The finished fence has that clean, uniform look that makes a backyard feel like it was actually designed, not just enclosed.

The combination of cedar wood and steel posts isn't the cheapest route, but it's the right one if you want a fence that actually holds up. That's the kind of build we're proud to put our name on.
